What's New?

What I really should be asking is, “what’s old?” The UHV SBDC has
emerged as a leading economic development organization and we are
making changes every day with respect to how we deliver services to
our small business clients. Out with the old, and in with the new.
Online Training—By clicking on this link, you will find free
courses to help you grow your small business. The courses are short
and designed for the business owner’s attention span. Based on
feedback from face to face training events, we realize that your
time is valuable and your available time is short. These courses
should take you about 30-minutes each to complete and you get a
certificate of completion when you finish each course. –A great way
to track your employees should you wish any to take a course (or
two).
Paid
Interns—This fall the UHV SBDC and the School of Business
Administration are launching a joint project to further enhance the
lives of a few great students. A few really good UHV business majors
will get course credit for working with our business advisors to
deliver SBDC services. These interns will be working on business and
marketing plans for select SBDC client companies while a Sr. Business Advisor
oversees each project. We pick-up the tab to pay the intern, and you
strengthen the position of you business by utilizing a fresh mind to
examine your existing business structure. A win-win for all. Call us
at 361-575-8944 for more details. Ask for Joshua or Vincent.
